Pioneer DVD-115HA/HB drive firmware update version 1.31 README This package performs a flash update of the firmware that controls the Pioneer DVD-ROM which might have come preinstalled in your IBM(R) Aptiva(R) computer. A blank 1.44MB 3.5-inch diskette will be needed. NOTE: Firmware is programming that controls low-level hardware operations internal to the DVD-ROM. The firmware is stored on a chip. Your DVD-ROM uses flash ROM's, which can be updated through a program on a flash diskette so that you do not have to replace the firmware chip to update the firmware. Print this file so that you can refer to it during the installation. This update package is intended for IBM Aptiva machine types 2178-xxx or 2198-xxx that came with a DVD-ROM drive manufactured by Pioneer.
