Here are the images for the boot diskette for Linux C4EB client. There are two .img files, you need only one of them. The difference between the desktop and thinkpad image is that the thinkpad image contains the drivers for PCMCIA cards, and the desktop has the drivers for PCI/ISA cards. After you download one of the .img files, you'll need to write the image to a 1.4M floppy disk. The utility to write the image is: a) for Windows/DOS, run "rawrite" then enter the name of the .img file Note: you'll need to rename the file on your harddisk to the 8.3 filename format before running rawrite. We've provided the aliases thinkpad.img and desktop.img to help do that. b) for AIX/Linux, use "dd if=*.img of=/dev/fd0" To install Linux, just boot from one of these diskettes and everything will be downloaded over your network connection. After the install completes, the root password will be "passw0rd" (note the zero). Be sure to change the root password to something else so your machine won't get broken in to.
