Changing Your Mode of Operation ------------------------------- Once you have installed your device driver, you can change the display setup for Windows from the Windows Control panel as follows: 1. While running Windows, double-click on the Windows 3.1 Control Panel icon. Double-click on the Graphics Setup icon. A list of all the valid resolutions for your display type and graphics hardware will appear. 2. Select the desired resolution for Windows 3.1. (WARNING: An incorrect display selection above can produce resolutions that your display cannot support.) A list of all the valid number of colors for the selected resolution will appear. 3. Select the desired number of colors for the Windows desktop. (A gray number means that your display supports the selection, but you must first select a lower resolution.) 4. Select the desired font size for the Windows desktop. The default is a small-sized font at resolutions of 800x600 and lower, and a large-sized font at resolutions above 800x600. 5. Click on the OK button to save any changes made with Graphics Setup, or on the Cancel button to discard any changes. NOTE: When changing displays, first do the above steps; then connect the new display. If your Windows display is out of sync, first try deleting the file, SETUP.PRO, in your XVA (DMQS) directory. If you still have a problem, run Windows SETUP.EXE and select "IBM Enhanced Local Bus Graphics V1.00"; then follow the above steps to configure your display. ============================================================================ ** Trademark of Microsoft Corporation.
