The bootable diagnostics diskette tests the base adapter, Electrical Interface Board (EIB), and cables of all IBM ARTIC186 adapters installed. All EIB and cable testing requires specific wrap plugs that match the adapter's EIB. Cable testing requires IBM-supplied cables. For information on how to use the diagnostics, refer to the file ICADIAG.TXT.
