File V90PCI2K.EXE contains the driver files need to install the "IBM V.90 PCI Data/Fax Modem" in the Windows 2000 operating system environment. 1. Download the file V90PCI2K.EXE to your system. 2. From the system start menu select RUN, then enter the location of the file V90PCI2K.EXE. Then click OK to execute the file. The file is self extracting and will create all the file needed. Installing the Drivers in Windows 2000 1. After installing the modem hardware, turn on your computer. After Windows 2000 starts up, it will detect your modem and start the Found New Hardware Wizard. Click the Next button to continue. 2. At the next dialog box, make sure that "Search for the best driver for your device (Recommended)" is selected, then click Next. 3. Next the wizard will ask which drives or folders it should search for the drivers. Click to select the Floppy disk drive. A check mark will appear in the appropriate box. Make sure that all other options are deselected, clicking them to deselect, if necessary. Insert the modem's installation disk and click Next. 4. The wizard will find the driver on the disk and identify the modem as an "IBM V.90 PCI Data/Fax Modem" Click Next. 5. After Windows has finished copying the drivers to where they belong in your system, it will announce the end of the installation process. Click the Finish button.
