ScrollPoint Mouse Device Driver for OS/2 version 2.01 Installation Readme This package installs an update to the IBM OS/2 Warp device driver for the Scrollpoint mouse that comes with your IBM computer. This document refers to NetVista 6568-xx, 6569-xx, 6578-xx, 6579-xx, 6648-xx, and 6649-xx systems. This update requires approximately 1.00 MB of space on a diskette (drive A). Print this file so that you can refer to it during the installation. Downloading the update ---------------------- 1. Click the file link to download the file from the Web page. 2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded file. Extracting the update --------------------- 1. Insert a blank 1.44MB floppy diskette into the diskette drive. 2. Run qj1t03a.exe from the directory in which it was downloaded. The files will extract to the floppy diskette. Installing the update --------------------- 1. Open an OS/2 Window on your system. 2. Type A:\MOUINST at the command prompt. This command will: a. Save the existing mouse driver as MOUSE.SAV in the OS2\BOOT directory on the Boot partition. b. Add the new MOUSE.SYS device driver in the OS2\BOOT directory on the Boot partition. c. Add the associated language specific ScrollPoint Mouse Object DLL's to the OS2\DLL directory on the Boot partition. d. Place the ScrollPoint Mouse Object on your OS/2 desktop. 3. This completes the installation procedure. You must now REBOOT your system to initialize the scrolling mouse driver.
