  Realtek RTL8139/810X Family Fast Ethernet NIC

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

DETERMINING WHICH VERSION IS INSTALLED:

  1. Right-click My Computer and select Properties
  2. Click the Hardware tab and select Device Manager
  3. Click the + sign in front of the Network adapters category
  4. Double-click Realtek RTL8139/810X Family Fast Ethernet NIC
  5. Click the Driver tab and the driver version will be displayed

INSTALL:

  1. Logon to Microsoft Windows with administrative privileges
  2. Extract this package by double-clicking the downloaded file
     The default extract location is C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\ETHRTK
  3. Click Start and select Run
  4. Click SETUP.EXE where the package was extracted
     in step 2 above and click OK
  5. The device driver wizard will be launched
  6. When prompted click Next
  7. When prompted click Finish

UNINSTALL:

  1. Logon with administrative privileges
  2. Click Start and select Control Panel
  3. In the Control Panel window click Add or Remove Programs
  4. Select REALTEK Gbe & FE Ethernet PCI NIC Driver
  5. Click Change/Remove
  6. When prompted click OK
  7. When prompted click Finish

UNATTENDED INSTALL:
This procedure is intended for system administrator use only.

  1. Logon with administrative privileges
  2. Extract this package by double-clicking the downloaded file
     The default extract location is C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\ETHRTK
  3. From a command prompt navigate to the driver location
  3. Type SETUP.EXE -S and press Enter
