The video driver enables or updates the Video function of Intel Video. The following Video device is integrated into your 3000 system: - Mobile Intel(R) 945GM Express Chipset Family The following systems are supported: - 3000 V100 To determine if you should update the Video driver, refer to the "Summary of Changes" section. To update the Video driver, refer to the "Installation Instructions" section. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the Version Information section. There are following ways for installation. (A) Automatic install with ThinkVantage System Update (B) Manual install (C) Unattended install (A) Automatic Install with System Update System Update will check both installed programs on your Lenovo 3000 and will update the program automatically if a newer version is available. Refer to the System Update support page for details. (B) Manual Install Refer to the Manual Install section. (C) Unattended Install Refer to the Unattended Install section. Manual Install 1. Start Microsoft Windows XP and logon with administrative privileges. 2. Double-clicking the downloaded file to extract this package onto the hard drive. The default extract location is C:\DRIVERS\VIDEO 3. Open an Explorer and locate the directory where the files were extracted. 4. Double-click the SETUP file. 5. The device driver wizard will be displayed. 6. Click Yes to accept the license agreement. 7. When prompted to restart your computer, click Yes and then Finish. Unattended install: This procedure is intended for system administrator use only. 1. Start Windows 2000/XP and logon with administrative privileges. 2. Double-clicking the downloaded file to extract this package onto the hard drive. The default extract location is C:\DRIVERS\VIDEO 3. At the command line, specify the location you extracted the files, then type "SETUP.EXE -S" and press Enter. 4. Follow the instructions on the screen. Determining which version is installed -------------------------------------- 1. Click Start, then click Control Panel. 2. Click Appearance and Themes. 3. Click the Display icon. 4. Click the Settings tab. 5. Click Advanced. 6. Click the Adapter tab. 7. Click Properties. 8. Click the Driver tab. The version number will be displayed.
