Click "Start" then right click on "Computer" button and then click on properties. 2. Click on "Hardware" Tab, permit the DirectX Builder to run by selecting the "permit" button and select "Device manager". 3. Select "Display adapters" then Double click on the graphics controller shown. 4. Click on "driver" tab and note the driver version. INSTRUCTIONS -------------------------------------------------------------------- Notes: If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the Version Information section. There are following ways for installation. (A) Automatic install with Software Installer (B) Unattended install (A) Automatic Install with System Update System Update will check both installed programs in your Lenovo 3000 and will update the program automatically if a newer version is available. DOWNLOADING THE UPDATE ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Click the file link to download the file from the Web page. 2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded file. EXTRACTUNG THE UPDATE -------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Click Start --> Search. 2. Type 62vh09ww.exe in the "Search Box" This will locate the file you just downloaded. 3. Double-click the 62vh09ww.exe icon. 4. Click Next. Read the license agreement. 5. Click I accept the terms in the license agreement. 6. Click Next. 7. Ensure that "Save files in folder" is set to C:\DRIVERS\VISTA32\VIDEO folder 8. Click Next. The necessary files will be extracted to the C:\DRIVERS\VISTA32\VIDEO folder. 9. Click Finish. INSTALLATION -------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Make sure to be logged on with administrative privileges. 2. Open an Explorer and locate the directory where the files were extracted. 3. Double-click SETUP file. 4. Follow the instructions on the screen. 5. Click Finish to reboot the system and complete the installation.
