Click Start, then click Control Panel. 2. Double-click System. 3. Click the Hardware tab, then click Device Manager. 3. Double-click Network adapters. 4. Double-click Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter. 5. Click the Driver tab. The Driver version will be displayed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Notes: If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the Version Information section. There are following ways for installation. (A) Automatic install with ThinkVantage System Update (B) Manual install (C) Unattended install (A) Automatic Install with ThinkVantage System Update ThinkVantage System Update will check both installed programs in your computer and our Web site, then download and update the program automatically if a newer version is available. Refer to the ThinkVantage System Update package for details. (B) Manual Install Refer to the Manual Install section. Downloading files 1. Click once on the underlined file name with the left mouse button. Once this is done, a pop-up window will appear. 2. In this pop-up window, choose (using the left mouse button) the directory you would like to download the file to and click the "Save" button. A different window will appear and the download will begin and complete without your assistance. Once the download has completed, there may or may not be a message stating that the download completed successfully. After being downloaded, the file will need to be extracted. Extracting files 3. Locate the directory where the file was downloaded. 4. Locate the file that was just downloaded and double click it using the left mouse button. The file will begin to extract in the directory where the downloaded file is located. Install 5. Make sure to be logged on with administrative privileges. 6. Open an Explorer and locate the directory where the files were extracted. The default location is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\WLLANBCM 7. Double-click SETUP. 8. Follow the instructions on the screen. If the message, "Digital Signature Not Found" appears, click OK to continue installing. 9. Follow the instructions on the screen and restart the computer. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UNINSTALL 1. Log on with administrative privileges. 2. Click Start and click Control Panel. 3. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon. 4. Select Broadcom 802.11 Network Adapter, then click Change/Remove. 5.
