Installation instructions for Windows 98/95 OSR2.x -------------------------------------------------- 1. Start Windows 98 or Windows 95 OSR2.x 2. Extract the drivers to the hard drive. 3. Click on 'Start' then click on 'Run...' 4. In the Run dialog window, type "C:\DRIVERS\W9X\DISPLAY\ATISETUP" to install the video driver. Click OK to start the installation process. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead. 5. Select 'ATI Easy Install'. 6. When the Welcome window appears, click the 'Next' button. 7. At the Software Licence Agreement screen, if you agree, click 'Yes'. 8. Select 'Express: Recommended'. 9. At the 'Setup' Complete' screen, select 'Yes, I want to restart my computer now'. 10. Click 'Finish', then reboot the system. Installation instructions for Windows 95 OSR0 and OSR1 ------------------------------------------------------ Since the Setup.exe, InstallShield does not work with Windows 95 OSR0/1 do the following 1. Start Windows 95. 2. Extract the drivers to the hard drive. 3. Click 'Start', point to 'Settings', then click 'Control Panel'. 4. Double-click the System icon. 5. Click the Device Manager tab. 6. Remove 'Standard Display Adapter (VGA) under 'Display adapters'. 7. At the 'Confirm Device Removal' window, click 'OK'. 8. At the 'Restart confirmation message' window, click 'NO'. 9. Remove 'PCI VGA-Compatoble Display Adapter' under 'Other Devices'. 10. At the 'Confirm Device Removal' window, click 'OK'. 11. At the 'PCI VGA-Compatible Display Adapter Has a ROM' window, click 'Test'. 12. Shutdown and restart the system. 13. When the system starts, the 'New Hardware Found' window appears. Put check mark in 'Driver from disk provide by hardware manufacturer. Click on 'OK'. 14. Specify 'atidrive' directory where the diver files were extracted and click 'OK'. 15. At the 'System Settings Change' window, click 'YES' to restart the system. 1. Start Windows 95. 2. Extract the drivers to the hard drive. 3. Click 'Start', point to 'Settings', then click 'Control Panel'. 4. Double-click the System icon. 5. Click the Device Manager tab. 6. Expand Display Adapters. 7. Select 'ATI Mobility-128 AGP' and click the Properties' buttons. 8. Select the 'Driver' Tab. 9. Click the 'Change Driver...' button. 10. Click the 'Have Disk...' button. 11. Specify the directory where the diver files are extracted and click 'OK' 12. At the 'Select Device' window, select 'ATI Mobility 128 AGP' and click 'OK' 13. At the 'ATI Mobility 128 AGP Properties' window, click 'OK'. 14. At the 'Insert Disk' window, click 'OK'. 15. Specify the directory where the diver files are extracted and Click on 'OK' 16. At the 'System Settings have changed window, click 'Yes' to restart the system. Determining which version is installed -------------------------------------- 1. Start Windows 95/98. 2. Click on 'Start' -> 'Settings' -> 'Control Panel'. 3. Double-click on the 'Display' icon. 4. Click on the 'Setting' tab. 5. Click on the 'Advanced (Properties)...' button. 6. Click on the 'Options' tab. The build is part of the version number.
