What This Package Does
----------------------
This package provides the Ethernet driver for Windows Vista 32-bit and 64-bit.
The Ethernet driver enables or updates the Ethernet functions on the
following ThinkPad computers.

This release supports the following systems:

  - ThinkPad G50
  - ThinkPad R51e
  - ThinkPad R52
  - ThinkPad R60,R60e
  - ThinkPad T43, T43p
  - ThinkPad X41, X41 Tablet
  - ThinkPad Z60m, Z60t
  - ThinkPad Z61e, Z61m, Z61p, Z61t

To determine if you should update the Ethernet driver, refer to the
"Summary of Changes" section.

To update the Ethernet driver, refer to the "Installation Instructions"
section.

- ThinkVantage System Update or Software Installer provides install/
  uninstall wizard.


Device Driver Installation Instructions
---------------------------------------

Windows Vista 32-bit and 64-bit (Update Driver...)
----------------------------------------------------

To update the driver, follow the instructions below:

 1. Start Windows Vista.
 2. Click Start and then Control Panel.
 3. Click System and Maintenance and then System.
 4. Click Device Manager.
 5. Click + of Network adapters to expand the category.
 6. Right-click Broadcom NetXtreme Fast/Gigabit Ethernet then select
    Update Driver Software...
 7. Click Browse my computer for driver software.
 8. Click Browse... and then point to the following driver location:
    \WinVista\IA32 (for Windows Vista 32-bit)
    \WinVista\X64 (for Windows Vista 64-bit)
 9. Confirm Include subfolders is selected and click Next.
10. Click Close when the installation is completed.


BACS2 Installation
------------------

 1. Start Windows Vista.
 2. Execute setup.exe in the following folder:
    \BACS\IA32 (for Windows Vista 32-bit)
    \BACS\x64 (for Windows Vista 64-bit)
 3. Click Next.
 4. Select I accept the terms in the license agreement and click Next.
 5. Click Next.
 6. Click Install.
 7. Click OK when the installation is completed.
 8. Click Finish.


Unattended Installation
-----------------------

DOS drivers for unattended installation:
For customers who need unattended installation, the DOS driver is
provided in another driver package (7FRDxxWW package).  The DOS driver can be
used for this purpose only.

Unattended installation instructions:
Unattended installation instructions are located at the following folders in this package
    \Tools\Unattend\Vista\IA32 (for Windows Vista 32-bit) 
    \Tools\Unattend\Vista\X64  (for Windows Vista 64-bit)

 1. Right-click Computer and click Properties.
 2. Click Device Manager.
 3. Click + of Network adapters to expand the category.
 4. Double-click Broadcom NetXtreme Fast/Gigabit Ethernet.
 5. Click Driver tab and the driver version is displayed.;
