WHAT THIS PACKAGE DOES

  Lenovo System Interface Driver works as the programming and data
  interface which is commonly used for Lenovo drivers, utilities and
  application programs for Microsoft Windows Vista.

  If this package has been installed, updating (overwrite-installing)
  this package will fix problems, add new functions, or expand
  functions as noted below.

  1. Once the package has been extracted, double-click 'setup.exe'.
  2. Select 'View driver or application version information'.
  3. Follow the instructions on the screen.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Notes:
  If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to
  update the software. To determine if you should update the software,
  refer to the Version Information section.


Manual Install

  1. Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive.
     The default location is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\SMIIF.
  3. Click Start, then click All Programs.
  4. Click Accessories, then click Run...
  5. Specify SETUP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted the
     package in the step 2, and click OK.
     Example: C:\DRIVERS\WIN\SMIIF\SETUP.EXE
  6. Follow the instructions on the screen.


Unattended Install

  This is for system administrators' use only.

  - Refer to the Manual Install section, and download and expand the
    files.
  - At the command line, execute SETUP.EXE with the /S option.
    Example: [Path where the files were extracted]\SETUP /S

UNINSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Click Start, click Control Panel, then click Programs.
  3. Under Programs and Features, click Uninstall a program.
  4. Right-click Lenovo System Interface Driver and select Uninstall.
  5. Click Continue.
