Start Windows XP/Windows XP Tablet Edition 2005/Windows 2000 and logon with administrative privileges. 2. Extract the package to the hard drive. The default location is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\ETHERNET. 3. Click Start, then click All Programs. 4. Click Accessories, then click Run. 5. Specify SETUP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2, and click OK. Example: C:\DRIVERS\WIN\ETHERNET\TOOLS\DRVINST\IA32\SETUP.EXE 6. Click Next. 7. Select I accept the terms in the license agreement. 8. Click Install. 9. Click Finish, then reboot the system. [Windows NT 4.0] UPDATE INSTALL: 1. Start Windows NT 4.0. 2. Note the full path name of the folder where the drivers are extracted before starting the installation. 3. Click Yes when prompted to restart the computer. CLEAN INSTALL: First Network Configuration 1. Start Windows NT 4.0. 2. Note the full path name of the folder where the drivers are extracted before starting the installation. 3. Click Start, select Settings, and click Control Panel. 4. Double-click Network. 5. It displays the "Network Configuration" dialog box if this is the first time to configure the Network. If not, go to step 21. 6. Click Yes. 7. Select "Wired to the network", and click Next. 8. Click Select from list. 9. Click Have Disk. 10. Type the full path name of the folder where the drivers are extracted in Insert Disk dialog box. Eexample: c:\Drivers\WIN\Ethernet\WinNT 11. Click OK. 12. Select Gigabit Ethernet Controller, then click OK. 13. Click Next. 14. Select Network Protocols and click Next. 15. Select Network Services and click Next. 16. Click Next. 17. Follow the prompts for any Windows NT installation disks by typing the full path to the folder that contains Windows NT files. It is usually the c:\i386 folder or Windows NT CD-ROM's \i386 directory. 18. Follow the instructions displayed on the screen. 19. Click Finish when the installation completes. 20. Click Yes when prompted to restart the computer. Add Ethernet to Network Configuration 21. Click the Adapters tab. 22. Click Add. 23. Click Have Disk. 24. Type the full path name of the folder where the drivers are extracted in Insert Disk dialog box. Example: c:\Drivers\WIN\Ethernet\WinNT 25. Click OK. 26. Select Gigabit Ethernet Controller. 27. Click OK. 28. Click Close. 29. Follow the instructions displayed on the screen. 30. Click Yes when prompted to restart the computer. Unattended Install This is for system administrators' use only. 1.
