Start Windows. 2. Extract the Audio Features into hard disk drive. 3. Click Start. 4. Click Run. 5. Specify the installation program SETUP.EXE with full path you extracted in the step 2 and click OK. 6. Click the Uninstall Crystal Driver button at the pop-up window, and then select Restart. Re-start Windows. 7. When the Add New Hardware Wizard detects PCI Multimedia Audio Device, select Specify the location of the driver(Advanced). 8. Click Next. It will default to Search for best driver for your device. 9. Check Specify a location and click Browse. 10. Specify the path name in the step 2. 11. Click Next. It will then identify the device as a Crystal SoundFusion(tm). 12. Click Next. It will begin copying files. 13. Click Finish. NOTES: - If you are not required to restart the system and audio doesn't seems to be functioned(no speaker icon or SoundFusion(tm) icon on systray, no sound, etc..), restart the system manually. - After the installation, you should find the following drivers installed under Sound,Video,and game controllers in Device Manager. Crystal SoundFusion(tm) Crystal SoundFusion(tm) WDM Interface - After the installation, check under the MIDI tab of the Multimedia Properties in the Control Panel. Please select your preference for the Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth or the SoundFusion HW Wavetable Synth. The SoundFusion HW Wavetable Synth requires less CPU utilization. 1. Right click the Speaker icon on task bar. 2. Select Adjust Audio Properties 3. Select Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth or 4. SoundFusion HW Wavetable Synth in Single instrument. 5. Click Apply or OK to apply the selection. Determining which version is installed -------------------------------------- 1. Right click My Computer. 2. Click Properties. 3. Click Device Manager. 4. Click Sound, Video and game controllers. 5. Select Crystal SoundFusion(tm) and click Properties. 6. Click Driver tab and click Driver File Details. 7. Check File version: 8. Select Crystal SoundFusion(tm) WDM Interface and click Properties. 9. Click Driver tab and click Driver File Details. 10. Check File version:. Uninstalling or Updating the Audio Support Software --------------------------------------------------- 1. Start Windows. 2. Extract the Audio Features into hard disk drive. 3. Click Start. 4. Click Run. 5. Specify the installation program SETUP.EXE with full path you extracted in the step 2 and click OK. 6. Click the Uninstall Crystal Drivers button at the pop-up window, and then select Restart. Re-start Windows. 7. When the Add New Hardware Wizard detects PCI Multimedia Audio Device, select Cancel button. ** Note : Click Next button if you are intending to update the driver. Then follow the above Installation step 7. NOTE: You should find the following Crystal SoundFusion devices are NOT shown after uninstallation and reboot: Crystal Sound Fusion(tm) Crystal Sound Fusion(tm) WDM Interface 1. Right Click My Computer. 2. Click Properties. 3. Click Device Manager. 4. You will not be able to see Sound, Video and game controllers.
