What This Diskette Does
-----------------------
This diskette provides the audio driver for DOS and Windows 3.1 users.
This diskette enables or updates the audio function of the following
ThinkPad computers:
  - ThinkPad 380, 380D, 380E, 380ED, 380XD and 380Z
  - ThinkPad 385D, 385ED and 385XD
  - ThinkPad 560X and 560Z
  - ThinkPad 600
  - ThinkPad 770, 770E, and 770ED

To determine if you have to update the audio driver or not, please refer
to the "Summary of Changes" section.

To update the audio driver, please refer to the "Installation Guide"
section.

Installation Guide
------------------
(Note)
To determine if you have to update the audio driver or not, please refer
to the "Summary of Changes" section.

< DOS >
  1. Start DOS.
  2. Insert the Audio Features Diskette for DOS/Windows 3.1 into the
     diskette drive.
  3. Type A: and press Enter.
  4. Type Install and press Enter.

< Windows 3.1>
  1. Start Windows 3.1.
  2. Select File on the Program Manager window.
  3. Select Run... from the pull-down menu.
  4. Insert the Audio Features Diskette for DOS/Windows 3.1 into the
     diskette drive. Then type A:\SETUP and press Enter.
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.

  The MIDI serial port connector is available when the computer is
  attached to the Enhanced Port Replicator.  The MIDI port capability is
  disabled as a default, so you need to enable the function with the
  ThinkPad Features program.
  You need to install the MPU401 Support Software from the Windows 3.1
  Diskette.  Select and install the Roland MPU401 device driver in the
  Control Panel.
