What This Diskette Does
-----------------------
This program is the battery refresh program to use for the battery
which has not been used for a long time.

Only the following ThinkPad i Series 1400 Type and Model numbers are
supported:
Type 2611 - 434, 435, 436, all 41* (except 412), all 45* (except 452,
            456, 459, and 45J), RR1, RR2, RR3, RR4

Installation instructions
-------------------------
 1. Download the file to your system.  You will need a blank, formatted
    1.44 Meg. floppy diskette.
 2. Run the file you just downloaded and follow the prompts to build the
    Battery Discharge diskette.
 3. Do a proper system shutdown and ensure the system is powered off.
 4. Insert the Battery Discharge diskette into floppy drive.
 5. Remove any AC adapter connections and power on system. The battery
    utility should run automatically. Eventually the system will shutdown
    because the battery has been completely discharged.
 6. Wait for one hour and then re-connect the AC Adapter to recharge the
    battery.
 7. After battery has been fully charged, wait another hour and then
    repeat steps 4 through 7 until the battery has been discharged three
    times.
