What This Package Does ---------------------- This package provides the CMD Ultra DMA IDE driver for DOS users. The CMD Ultra DMA IDE driver enables the ThinkPad CD-ROM Ultrabay 2000 Drive within the Ultrabay 2000 of ThinkPad Dock (2631-10x and -20x) which can be used with the following ThinkPad computers: - ThinkPad X20, X21, X22, X23, X24 - ThinkPad X30, X31 The following Operating System is supported: - IBM PC-DOS 2000 To determine if you should update this driver, refer to the "Summary of Changes" section. To install this driver, refer to the "Installation Instructions" section. Installation Instructions ------------------------- INSTALL: 1. Make a DOS boot diskette. 2. Extract this package onto the hard drive. 3. Copy the following files in the extracted files to the DOS boot diskette. cmd64xx.dck cmdatpcd.sys 4. Copy mscdex.exe file from DOS (or others) to the DOS boot diskette. 5. Add the following statements in the config.sys file in the DOS boot diskette. device=cmd64xx.dck device=cmdatpcd.sys /d:cmd_cd 6. Add the following statement in the autoexec.bat in the DOS boot diskette. LH mscdex.exe /d:cmd_cd 7. Boot the DOS using this DOS boot diskette to use the IBM CD-ROM drive within the UltraBay 2000 of ThinkPad Dock.
