What This Package Does
-----------------------
The accompanying InterVideo WinDVD Upgrade package can update the
InterVideo WinDVD Player in the ThinkPad system.

The following ThinkPad computers are supported:

- ThinkPad G40

To update the program, refer to the "Installation instructions" section.

 - (Fix) If standby and hibernation are performed while using an
         extended desktop, an image will not be displayed by reproduction
         of DVD.
 - (Fix) When the position coordinates of secondary display are
         negative, an image will not be displayed by reproduction of DVD.

 - (Fix) The screen is black after AVI file reproduction is finished.
 - (Fix) Closed caption is always disabled after computer resumes from
         standby or hibernation.
 - (Fix) Black bar appear on the background of volume meter when
         adjusting volume.

Installation instructions
-------------------------
Note:
- This driver can only be used on the supported ThinkPads listed above.
- This package can not be installed without the InterVideo WinDVD already
  installed in the system. This package is for upgrade purpose only.
- ThinkPad Software Installer provides install/(uninstall) wizard for
  this package.

 1. Start Windows.
 2. Extract the package to your hard drive.
 3. Click Start, then click Run.
 4. In the Open field, type C:\DRIVERS\WIN\DVD\SETUP.EXE to install
    the InterVideo Update. Click OK start the installation process.
    If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that
    location instead.
 5. Follow the instructions on the screen.


Determining which version is installed
--------------------------------------
 1. Click Start, point to Programs, then point to InterVideo WinDVD,
    and then click InterVideo WinDVD. The DVD Panel player is
    launched.
 2. When the DVD Panel player is launched, right-click on the DVD Panel
    player, and then click About....

UNATTENDED INSTALL
------------------
 This is for system administrators' use only.
 1. Start Windows and logon with administrative privileges.
 2. Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
 3. Click 'Start' -> 'Run...'.
 4. Type "[Program Path]\setup -S -SMS" and click OK.
    [Program Path] is the full path name where you extracted
    the package in the step 2.
