This release supports the following systems: - ThinkPad A20m/A20p (with MiniPCI) - ThinkPad T20 (with MiniPCI) To determine if the Modem driver needs to be updated, refer to the "Summary of Changes" section. To update the modem driver, refer to the "Installation instruction" section. Start Windows 2000 and logon with administrative privileges 2. Extract the drivers to the hard disk drive. 3. Click Start, then click Run. 4. In the Open field, type "C:\DRIVERS\W2K\MODEM\SETUP.EXE" to install the modem driver. Click the OK button to start the installation process. If you extracted the files to a different location, specify that location instead. 5. Follow the instructions on the screen. Uninstalling the modem ---------------------- 1. Start Windows 2000 2. Click Start, point to Settings, then click Control Panel. 3. Double-click the Phone and Modem Options icon. 4. Click the Modems tab. 5. Select Lucent Win Modem and click the Remove button. Start Windows 2000 2. Click Start, point to Find, then click Search. 3. Click the Name & Location tab. 4. In the Named: field, type the file name listed in the above table. 5. In the Look in: field, specify "Local Hard drives (C:,D:)". 6. Click the Find Now button. Windows will now search your hard drive for the specified file. If the file is not found, then the Modem driver is not installed on your system. 7. In the Found part of the window, select the file name located in "C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32". 8. Scroll the window to the right and look at the Modified column to check the date/time of the each file.
