Prerequisite for Running MPEG under Windows 3.11 on a ThinkPad 1. Trident Drivers that must be installed Video Drivers for Cyber9385 Overlay Driver for Cyber9385 2. Win32s Ver. 1.25 must be installed 3. MPEG drivers must be installed. If MPEG does not function on this ThinkPad reinstall the drivers in the order in which they are listed above. Generate diskettes from the Diskette Factory located on this system. Readme files on the feature diskettes contain installation instructions. The Win32s driver diskettes are part of the "MPEG Features Disks". This is a group of 3 diskettes--the first two are Win32s support, the third is the MPEG Driver diskette. MPEG Installation: 1. Start windows. 2. Select "MAIN" 3. Select "CONTROL PANEL" then select "DRIVERS" to install the MCI drivers. NOTE: You must first uninstall previous drivers for the install of the new drivers to work! Follow steps 4-10. 4. Select "[MCI]CD-i/VideoCD" from list of installed drivers. If driver is not there skip to step 6. 5. Next select "Remove", then confirm by selecting "YES". 6. Select "Don't Restart Now" 7. Select "[MCI]IBM Mpeg-2" from list of installed drivers. If driver is not there then: A: If you removed driver in steps 3-5 restart your system. B: Else go to step 11 and continue installing MPEG drivers. 8. Next select "Remove", then confirm by selecting "YES". 9. Select "Restart Now" 10. When windows restarts go back into "MAIN" and select "CONTROL PANEL" then select "DRIVERS" install MCI drivers. 11. Select the "ADD" option. 12. Select "Unlisted or Updated driver" and type installation diskette path and ENTER. 13. "Install Driver" will recognize the "(MCI)IBM MPEG-2" and "(MCI)CD-i/VideoCD" drivers. 14. Select "[MCI] CD-i/VideoCD" then "OK". 15. Select "Don't Restart Now". 16. Repeat steps 11 and 12. 17. Select "[MCI] IBM MPEG-2" then "OK" 18. After this driver is installed "Restart Now" to start windows.
