Note:
- If you use the Product Recovery function shipped with your ThinkPad to
  restore the Windows preload environment, you do not need this
  package. This package is required when you install Windows operating
  systems without the Product Recovery function.
- This program is language independent and can be used with any
  language system.

What This Package Does
----------------------
This package contains the following support modules:

 - Registry patch enabling USB S3 Power Management for Windows Vista.

The following ThinkPad systems are supported:

  - ThinkPad R50, R50e, R50p, R51, R51e, R52, R60, R60e
  - ThinkPad T41, T41p, T42, T42p, T43, T43p
  - ThinkPad T60, T60p
  - ThinkPad X31, X32, X40, X41, X41 Tablet 
  - ThinkPad X60, X60s, X60 Tablet
  - ThinkPad Z60m, Z60t, Z61e, Z61m, Z61p, Z61t

To determine if you should update the supplement files, refer to the
"Summary of Changes" section.

To update the supplement files, refer to the "Installation Guide"
section.

Installation Guide                                                    
------------------
INSTALL:
 1. Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges. 
 2. Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive. 
    The default location is C:\Drivers\VISTA\USBPMON. 
 3. Click Start, then click All Programs. 
 4. Click Accessories, then click Run... 
 5. Specify 'USBPMon.reg' with the full path name where you extracted the 
    package in step 2, and click OK. Example: C:\Drivers\VISTA\USBPMON\USBPMon.reg 
 6. Follow the instructions on the screen.

UNINSTALL:
 1. Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges.
 2. Click Start, then click All Programs. 
 3. Click Accessories, then click Run... 
 4. Specify 'USBPMoff.reg' with the full path name where you extracted the 
    package and click OK. Example: C:\Drivers\VISTA\USBPMON\USBPMoff.reg 
 5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
