Registry patch to change idle IRP timing by Fingerprint reader driver

Note:
- If you use the Product Recovery function shipped with your ThinkPad to
  restore the Windows preload environment, you do not need this
  package. This package is required when you install Windows operating
  systems without the Product Recovery function.
- This program is language independent and can be used with any
  language system.


What This Package Does

This package contains the following support modules.

 - Registry patch to change idle IRP timing by Fingerprint reader
   driver.

The following systems with Fingerprint reader are supported:
  - ThinkPad R52, R60, R60e
  - ThinkPad T42, T42p, T43, T43p
  - ThinkPad T60, T60p
  - ThinkPad X41, X60, X60s, X60 Tablet
  - ThinkPad Z60m, Z60t, Z61e, Z61m, Z61p, Z61t

To determine if you should update the supplement files, refer to the
"Summary of changes" section.

To update the supplement files, refer to the "Installation instructions"
section.

Installation Instructions
-------------------------

  Note: Before applying this registry patch, please install the latest 
  ThinkVantage Fingerprint software.

  
INSTALL:
 1. Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges. 
 2. Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive. 
    The default location is C:\Drivers\VISTA\FPIRPON. 
 3. Click Start, then click All Programs. 
 4. Click Accessories, then click Run... 
 5. Specify 'FPIRPOn.reg' with the full path name where you extracted the 
    package in step 2, and click OK. Example: C:\Drivers\VISTA\FPIRPON\FPIRPOn.reg 
 6. Follow the instructions on the screen.

UNINSTALL:
 1. Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges.
 2. Click Start, then click All Programs.
 3. Click Accessories, then click Run... 
 4. Specify 'FPIRPOff.reg' with the full path name where you extracted the 
    package and click OK. Example: C:\Drivers\VISTA\FPIRPON\FPIRPOff.reg
 5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
