Intel(R) Extreme graphics driver for Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 98SE and Me Version 4.13.01.3414 Installation Readme This package installs an update to the Microsoft Windows 98SE and Me device driver for the Intel(R) Extreme 845-G video chipset that comes preinstalled in your IBM computer. This package applies to IBM NetVista systems containing any of the Intel Extreme 845-G chipset. This update requires approximately 22MB of space on your hard disk (drive C). Print this file so that you can refer to it during the installation. Downloading the update ---------------------- 1. Click the file link to download the file from the Web page. 2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded file. Installing the update --------------------- 1. Click Start, select Find or Search, then click Files and folders. 2. Type e46z34us.exe in the search field, then click Find Now. This will locate the e46z34us.exe file you just downloaded. 3. Double-click the e46z34s.exe icon. 4. Click Next. Read the license agreement. 5. Click I accept the terms in the license agreement. 6. Click Next. 7. Ensure that "Save files in folder" is set to C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\E46Z34US. 8. Click Next. 9. Follow the onscreen prompts and choose to reboot at the end of installation. Verifying installation of the driver ------------------------------------ 1. Double-click the My Computer icon. 2. Double-click the Control Panel icon. 3. Double-click the System icon. 4. Select the Device Manager tab. 5. Click the Display Adapters icon. The Intel Graphics Driver should be listed. If not, the driver is not installed correctly. Identifying the driver version ------------------------------ 1. Double-click the My Computer icon. 2. Double-click the Control Panel icon. 3. Double-click the Display icon. 4. Select the Settings tab. 5. Click the Advanced button. 6. Select the Intel(R) Extreme Graphics tab. The graphics driver version should be listed on this screen.
