Ensure that the adapter is physically installed in your server or workstation prior to installing the driver software. 2. Boot the computer and start Windows 2000. 4. Log in to the Windows 2000 Administrator account. 5. Ensure that the adapter's device driver is installed. 6. Insert the DynamicAccess Server Software disk and execute dasetup.exe. 7. Select 'Yes' to install the DynamicAccess Server Software. 8. Click 'OK' to complete the installation. 9. Remove the disk and restart the computer. 4.0 Configuration Information _______________________________ Please refer to instructions below for configuring groups in Windows 2000. If further details are needed, please see the userguide.pdf available from this web site or from the software CD. Configuring Server Features: The DynamicAccess server features window contains tabs for these windows: - In the "Load Balance/RSL" window, you can create and change Load Balancing/RSL groups. The NICs in a group work together to route traffic efficiently and to recover from failures. - In the "VLANs" window, you can set up virtual LANs. All groups listed in the "Load Balance/RSL" window also appear as groups in the VLAN window. Any ungrouped NICs in the "Load Balance/RSL" window are also listed in the "VLAN" window. 1. Log in to the Windows 2000 with administrator privileges. 2. Launch the Windows 2000 Network and Dial-up Connections window. 3. Select a "Local Area Connection" icon. 4. Click the right mouse button and select 'Properties'. The "Local Area Connections Properties" window appears. 5. Click the 'General' tab. 6. In the "General" window, select 'DynamicAccess Protocol' and click 'Properties'. The "DynamicAccess Protocol Properties" window appears.
