Setup will ask you to select the computer type from the list. If your computer is a multi processor system, select [IBM eServer xSeries 440 (Multi Processor)] or [IBM eServer xSeries 360 (Multi Processor) with RXE-100] If your computer is a single processor system, select [IBM eServer xSeries 440 (Single Processor)] or [IBM eServer xSeries 360 (Single Processor) with RXE-100] 4. If you have pressed the F6 key for SCSI driver installation, setup will ask you to specify additional SCSI adapters. Follow the messages on the screen to install the SCSI driver. 5. The Original HAL.DLL will be replaced by the custom HAL. 3. Restart the system. D) Installing a Custom HAL on the System After NT4.0 Has Been Installed (#2) If you do not want the original HAL.DLL to be overwritten by the custom HAL for some reason (e.g. testing purposes), you may copy the custom HAL to the system's %windir%\system32 directory manually. 1.
