The LSI Logic PCI SCSI/FC MPI Miniport Update for Windows 2000 is an automated update application for the Windows 2000 LSI SCSI Device Driver. This update application is intended only to update previous versions of the LSI SCSI Device Driver. If no previous LSI SCSI Device Driver is installed, the LSI Logic PCI SCSI/FC MPI Miniport Driver for Windows 2000 should be used. The instructions for the LSI Logic PCI SCSI/FC MPI Miniport Update for Windows 2000 are as follows: 1. Ensure that the server BIOS code is updated to the current or latest version. 2. Launch the update executable (.exe) to begin installation of the driver update application. 3. Click "Yes" in response to the license information. 4. Click "Finish" in response to the 'installation complete' message. 5. Click "OK" in response to the 'system will reboot to apply changes' message. Notes: A. The server will restart (remember to remove any diskettes). B. If the application determines that the system BIOS code is not an appropriate level, it will prompt you to update the BIOS code and the system will restart. The update will not complete and the system will not restart beyond this point until you update the BIOS code to the appropriate level. 6. Upon restart, the driver update will occur. Click "OK" in response to the 'system will reboot to apply changes' message, if prompted. 7. You can now remove the update application by launching LSIUP12 (.exe) and selecting the 'Remove' option or by using the Microsoft Windows "Add/Remove Programs" dialog.
