1.0  Overview

This package includes the Linux v 2.5.11 driver for IBM Gigabit
Ethernet SX Server Adapters family, including PN 06P3701.
This driver is the same Linux driver for Intel PRO/1000 Adapters.

IANS v1.0.5 Drivers for Failover in Linux with IBM Intel-based
Gigabit and 10/100 NICs are also included.

All information regarding PRO/1000 for Linux applies to all IBM
Intel-based Gigabit SX Adapters.
Users can obtain latest Linux drivers for IBM Intel-based NICs
from either IBM support web or Intel support web.

1.1   Limitations
-----------------

This driver support Linux kernel series 2.2.x or later.
The 2.5.11 driver officially supports up to 2.2.16 level.


2.0   Change History

This new v2.1 sw release replaces the current v1.7 sw release.

v1.7   e1000-2.0.5.tar


Starting with v4.0 sw release, IBM Intel-based adapters share
the same drivers filenames with Intel retail adapters.
