License Key Option for Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) for Centralized Authentication through the RCM. 2.2 RCM and LCM Firmware The Firmware for the RCM has been updated to support the LDAP functionality in the Client Software. You must load the updated firmware on the units before the LDAP functionality will work properly. The Firmware for both the RCM and LCM has been updated to provide resolution to known issues as outlined in section 2.4. You must load the updated firmware on the units to take advantage of these issue fixes. 2.4 This release solves the following problems: Appliance: 1. The Disconnect User feature (in the Status tabe of the AMP) fails due to insufficient access rights when using Basic Query Mode. 2. The default setting for the UID Mask field does not match the documentation in the VCS Installer and User Guide. 3. When Query Mode (Appliance) is set to Group and Query Mode (Device) is set to Attribute, access to devices fails (Invalid username or password) when it should succeed. Client: 1. NumLock "on" blocks all alpha input from keyboard for Video Viewer for French, Italian, and Spanish keyboards. 2. Video Viewer Scan Mode Pause scan will resume scanning when an interactive video viewer session is started. 3. Additional "make" seen at target for "CTRL" key when used in conjunction with other keys during Keyboard Testing. 4. Correct credentials entered during scan mode re-prompts not cached. 5. Client Application loses sync with the RCM Appliance when opening and closing scan mode sessions. 6. Tabbing to the Sessions time-out Box, than Arrowing down to select a new time value, the highlighted value does not change, even though the selected value in the input field does correctly. 7. Busy cursor stays on after launching Browser window. 8. The help text for the Video Viewer Tools->Session Options-> Connection Speed does not display in any language other than English. Online Help: 1. * The launching instructions under "Basic Operation-> Launching Application" say "./IBM_NetBAY_Virtual_Console" instead of "./IBM_NetBAY_Virtual_Console_Software" on a Linux system. 2. * The Help->Contents page displays "IBM NetBAY? Virtual Console" when the language is set to Danish under Linux. 3.0 Known Issues: 3.1 APPLIANCE: 1. COs and cascaded secondary switches occasionally lose communication via the cascade protocol. Typically due to downlevel firmware on the secondary switch. 2. 4th and 5th (mouse) buttons do not operate properly when using UCO 1.1.2. The 4th and 5th mouse buttons do work, it is just that they cannot be configured. They can be used for the default action that the USB mouse driver assigns them (4th button is the same as hitting the back button in MS Explorer; 5th button is the same as hitting the forward button in MS Explorer). 3. LCM & RCM - Losing mouse & keyboard access when hotplug on local USB port. 4. Ballistic mouse when hotplug on local port. 5. Exiting OSCAR screen saver mode returns the user directly to the OS vs. the Oscar main screen. 6. Help screens in LCM 2.0.6.3 refer to RCM instead of LCM. 7. Incorrect instructions in User Status disconnect screen for LCM and RCM. 8. The LAN is referenced in the LCM Diagnostic section, which is local only. 9. On the IBM RCM, the speed of the cursor is slower for printing in editor after performing a PS/2 reset under the Win 2K Professional (Logitech - Mouseware 9.73) and RedHat Linux 7.2 OS's. 10. After PS/2 Reset on IBM KCO with an RCM, both CAP and Num are out of sync on Windows OS's (Intellipoint 4.1). 11. Ballistic mouse occurs after performing PS/2 reset in Windows-NT Server & Workstation (SP3, SP4, SP5, SP6) with Logitech mouse driver on both the Local as well as the Digital. 12. RedHat 8.0 Target connected via UCO displays keyboard errors when the mouse is clicked. Error message: Keyboard. Can't emulate rawmode for keycode 272. 3.2 CLIENT: 1. Client Installation Software: Press "X" instead of button to exit "already installed" popup window hangs the install program. 2. Scale problem when maximize button is pressed on Linux 9.0. 3. Resync corrupts the local database if the RCM has been deleted. 4.0 UPDATE PROCEDURE FOR CLIENT SOFTWARE: 4.1 Select the appropriate file for your system to launch the software upgrade: setup.exe for Windows or setup.bin for Linux. 5.0 WEB Sites and Support Phone Number 5.1 IBM Support Web Site: http://www.pc.ibm.com/support 5.2 IBM Marketing eserver Web Site: http://www.ibm.com/eserver/xseries 5.3 If you have any questions about this update, or problems applying the update go to the following Help Center World Telephone Numbers URL: 800-IBM-SERV (800-426-7378) http://www.pc.ibm.com/qtechinfo/YAST-3P2QYL.html. 5.4 IntelliStation web site: www.pc.ibm.com/intellistation 6.0 Trademarks and Notices 6.1 The following terms are trademarks of the IBM Corporation in the United States or other countries or both: IBM, NetBAY 6.2 Windows is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation. 6.3 Linux is a trademark of Linus Torvalds. 6.4 Other company, product, and service names may be trademarks or service marks of others. 7.0 Disclaimer 7.1 THIS DOCUMENT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.
