"aaa" = DPIC level "bbb" = OPIC level "ddd" = UPIC level "eee" = EPC1/2 level "fff" = EDID level - The monitor firmware has been successfully updated when these levels correspond to the levels listed during the configuration setting dialog of the update utility. - Turn the monitor power off and on again to exit the debug mode ==================== 10. Troubleshooting ==================== In the event that the firmware update did not complete correctly: - Check that the monitor is connected to a power source - Check that the USB cable is correctly connected The monitor video cable with the USB connector must be connected to monitor connector A Disconnect & reconnect the USB connector => replace the video cable if the USB connection fails - Confirm that the USB device driver for the monitor is listed in the device manager Start button -> Settings -> Control Panel -> System -> Hardware tab -> Device Manager button -> USB Controller -> QUXGA-W 22.2 TFT LCD Monitor USB Device - Confirm that the file "mnt4usbd.sys" is listed in the 'system directory'\system32\drivers - Confirm that an information file is listed in the 'system directory'\inf which contains the string "QUXGA-W" - Explore -> Go to the 'system directory'\inf - Search within the directory for the file Search -> Containing text = QUXGA-W (The system directory is "C:\WINNT" for Windows 2000 or "C:\windows" for Windows XP unless it was changed during the program installation; ) => if any files are missing, rerun the installation package to install the missing files - Check if the monitor power LED is blinking fast (4 times per second) => rerun the update utility. If the led is still blinking fast, then the monitor is broken and will need to be returned for service. In the event that the screen resolution is not correct when the system is restarted after the update operation is completed: - Confirm that the correct graphics card was specified during on the configuration setting dialog. => rerun the update utility and specify the correct graphics card. In the event that the screen is blanked after the update operation is completed: => rerun the update utility using a separate monitor as in shown in "Case 2" in section 3 above. In the event that the monitor power LED is blinking orange and green one after the other, or the monitor switch does not work after the update operation is completed: => Unplug the monitor power cord from the electrical outlet and then plug the monior power cord into the electrical outlet; Rerun the update utility. =========== Trademarks =========== * IBM is a trademark of IBM Corporation. * Windows, Windows 2000, and Windows XP are registered trademarks of Microsoft Corporation.
