I.  IBM Program License Agreement Windows NT (TM) Service Pack
 2

The Program is licensed not sold.  International Business Machines Corpora
tion, 
or the applicable IBM country organization, (IBM) grants you a license f
or the 
Program only in the country where you acquired the Program.  You obtain
 no 
rights other than those granted you under this license.  The term "Program
" 
means the original and all whole or partial copies of it, including modified
 
copies or portions merged into other programs.  IBM retains title to the 
Pr
ogram.  IBM owns, or has licensed from the owner, copyrights in the Program.  

You are responsible for the selection of the Program and for the installation 

of, use of, and results obtained from the Program.  The section, in the 
includ
ed documentation, entitled "License Information" contains additional 
informati
on on the Program.

1.  License

Under this license, you may:
1)  use the P
rogram on only one machine at any one time, unless the License 
information spe
cifies otherwise;
2)  copy the Program for backup or in order to modify it;
3)
  modify the Program and/or merge it into another program; and
4)  transfer the
 possession of the Program to another party.

If you transfer the Program, you
 must transfer a copy of this license, the 
License Information, all other docu
mentation and at least one complete, 
unaltered copy of the Program to the othe
r party.  You must, at the same time, 
either transfer all your other copies of
 the Program to the other party or 
destroy them.  Your license is then termina
ted.  The other party agrees to 
these terms and conditions by its first use of
 the Program.   You must 
reproduce the copyright notice(s) on each copy , or p
artial copy, of the 
Program.

You may not:
1)  use, copy, modify, merge, or
 transfer copies of the Program except as 
provided in this license;
2)  rever
se assemble or reverse compile the Program; or
3)  sublicense, rent, lease, or

2.  Limited Warranty

Some Programs have limited warran
ties,  The warranty details and limitations 
are described in their Statement o
f Limited Warranty,  Some Programs are not 
warranted and IBM will specify that
 they are "provided" AS IS.  All Programs 
have a three-month limited warranty 
on their media.  THESE WARRANTIES ARE IN 
LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES (OR COND
ITIONS), EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDED, 
BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANT
IES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS 
FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.  Some jurisdictio
ns do not allow exclusion of 
implied warranties, so the above exclusion may no
t apply to you.
	
3.  Additional Considerations for Service Pack Two

You ma
y make copies of the Windows NT Service Pack equal to the number of 
licensed c
opies of Windows NT (PowerPC Edition) you possess. You may only 
use this Servi
ce Pack CD for maintenance purposes.  All other terms and 
conditions of your W
indows NT (PowerPC Edition) license agreement apply to 
this Service Pack; howe
ver, this does not extend any warranty outlined in 
such Agreement.            
                          

II.  Installation of Service Pack 2

1.  Pre-Ins
tallation Considerations.

This service pack is designed for Windows NT 3.51 W
orkstation or Server PM 
(PowerPC Edition) Power Managed Version Z.  To check y
our version, click on 
"Help" in Program Manager.  Pick "About" from the bottom
 of the list to see 
the version.  If it does not say:

"Version 3.51 (Build 
1057: Power Managed Version Z)"

Contact 800-772-2227 and choose options 4-1-3
 to reach a Power Series Support 
Representative who will help you obtain the P
ower Managed Code.

2.  Installation of Service Pack 2.

You will need appro
ximately 45MB of free space to install Service Pack 2. 
Download the Service Pa
ck 2 executable NTPPCSP2.EXE.  This file should be 
placed in an empty sub-dire
ctory.  To execute the file type the following 
from an NT command window:

N
TPPCSP2.EXE -d -sPPC

This will expand all the service pack files needed to pe
rform the update.  To 
run the update type:

START UPDATE

When it complete
s, you will have to shutdown and reboot for the changes to 
take effect.

3. 
 Post-Installation Considerations.

Once you have installed the Service Pack, 
you can delete all the files in 
the sub-directory you used.  If you add additi
onal hardware or system software 
to the machine, you will want to re-run the u
pdate again to update any new 
files on the system.
