H122173: MSCS & SERVERAID: IPSHAHTO.EXE MAY FAIL TO MOVE RESOURCES SYMPTOM: During the installation of Microsoft Cluster Server 1.0 (MSCS) and the IBM ServeRAID adapters the IPSHAHTO.EXE program may fail to move resources. PROBLEM ISOLATION AIDS: - The system is any of the following IBM Netfinity servers: a Netfinity 7000-M10 server, Type 8680, any Model. a Netfinity 5500-M20 server, Type 8662, any Model. a Netfinity 5500-M10 server, Type 8661, any Model. a Netfinity 5500 server, Type 8660, any Model. a Netfinity 5000 server, Type 8659, any Model. Note: Supported configurations are listed at the following URL: http://www.pc.ibm.com/us/compat/clustering/matrix.shtml look for "Microsoft Cluster Server Configurations" - The system is configured with one or more of the following: Netfinity ServeRAID-3H Ultra2 SCSI Adapter, Option p/n01K7207 - The version 3.10 and 3.11 kit Device Driver for the ServeRAID III Adapter is affected. - The system is configured with one or more of the following: Windows NT 4.0 Enterprise Edition Microsoft Cluster Server 1.0 FIX: Ensure all shared merge id's are consecutive. (i.e. 1,2,3 or 2,3,4 and NOT 2,4,6). IPSHAHTO.EXE will not work properly if the shared merge id's are not consecutive. If a customer requires the functionality, of using IPSHAHTO.EXE with non- consecutive shared merge id's, please contact the HelpCenter for an updated version of IPSHAHTO.EXE that resolves this problem. The updated version of IPSHAHTO.EXE will be included in the next release of the ServeRAID code.
