PROBLEM ISOLATION AIDS: - The system is one of the following IBM Netfinity servers: a Netfinity 5500 server, Type 8660, any Model. a Netfinity 5500-M10 server, Type 8661, any Model. a Netfinity 5500-M20 server, Type 8662, any Model. - The system is configured with more than 2GB of memory. - Windows NT 4.0 is being Installed on the System. - The system's Diagnostics Pass. FIX: This is a problem with Windows NT 4.0. Check the Microsoft Website for the availability of permanent fix for this problem. The Microsoft Website is at http://www.microsoft.com WORKAROUND: Install less than 2 Gigabyte of memory to do the Windows NT 4.0 installation. After Windows NT 4.0 is loaded and the desktop is displayed, Shutdown Windows NT, then add the remaining memory DIMMs (4GB). NOTE: FixPack 4 or greater should be installed before the remaining memory is added.
