Hotkey driver for USB Keyboard with Fingerprint Reader for Microsoft Windows 2000 and XP Version 3.3.0.0 Installation Readme This package installs an Access IBM Hotkey driver for the USB Keyboard with Fingerprint Reader. This update requires approximately 6MB of space on your hard drive. Print this file so that you can refer to it during the installation. Downloading the update ====================== 1. Click the file link to download the file from the Web page. 2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded file. Extracting the update ===================== 1. Click Start, select Find or Search, then click Files and folders. 2. Type q3kyb01us13.exe in the search field, then click Find Now. This will locate the file you just downloaded. 3. Double-click the q3kyb01us13.exe icon. 4. Click Next. Read the license agreement. 5. Click I accept the terms in the license agreement. 6. Click Next. 7. Ensure that "Save files in folder" is set to C:\ibmtools\drivers\q3kyb01us13. 8. Click Next. 9. Click Finish. Installing the update ===================== 1. Click Start, then click Run. 2. Type C:\ibmtools\drivers\q3kyb01us13\Package\Setup.exe. 3. Click OK. 4. Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the installation. Unattended installation ----------------------- For unattended installation, use the parameter -s for silent install. This will install the driver with no input from the user, and will not force a reboot at the conclusion of the installation. For example: setup -s Uninstallation ============== 1. In Control Panel, double-click Add/Remove Programs. 2. In Install/Uninstall tab, select the Access IBM hotkey driver from the list and click on the "Add/Remove" button. 3. Follow the instruction on the screen to complete the uninstallation procedure. Silent uninstallation with reboot dialog ---------------------------------------- 1. Click Start, then click Run. 2. Type uninstit.exe KUFS.ini. 3. Click OK. Silent uninstallation without reboot dialog ------------------------------------------- 1. Click Start, then click Run. 2. Type uninstit.exe KUFSNR.ini. 3. Click OK. To set the application that launches with the Access button =========================================================== 1. Click Start, then click Run. 2. Type regedit. 3. Click OK. 4. Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ACCESSLDIR. 5. Select the LaunchApp key. 6. In the right-hand window, right-click LaunchApp, then click Modify. 7. In the Value data field, specify the path and file name of the application you would like to launch when the Access IBM application is not installed on the system. 8. Click OK. 9. Click File, then click Exit. 10. You will need to shutdown and restart your system for the changes to take affect.
