Broadcom TPM driver for Microsoft Windows 2000 and XP version 2.0.0.18 Installation README This package installs a device driver for the Broadcom Trusted Platform Module (TPM) module that comes preinstalled in select systems. This update requires approximately 20MB of space on your hard drive. You must have administrator privileges to install or update the driver. This package is intended for any of the following systems that shipped with the Broadcom TPM module: - ThinkCentre M55 (type 8009, 8791, 8793, 8794, 8795, 8797, 8798, 8799, 8801, 8802, 8803, 8805, 8806, 8807, 8810, 8811, 8812, 8814, 8816) Note: This list applies only to models that are not AMT enabled. Print this file so that you can refer to it during installation. Determining if system is AMT enabled ==================================== 1. Click Start, then click Run. 2. Type msinfo32.exe, then click OK. 3. Select System Summary. 4. Look for BIOS Version/Date. You should see a value similar to either '2MKTxxAUS' or '2JKTxxAUS'. If the first two characters of the value are '2J', then your system is not AMT enabled and this package applies to your system. Downloading the package ======================= 1. Click the file link to download the file from the Web page. 2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded file. Extracting the package ====================== 1. Click Start, select Find or Search, then click Files and folders. 2. Type q3tpm07us13.exe in the search field, then click Find Now. This will locate the file you just downloaded. 3. Double-click the q3tpm07us13.exe icon. 4. Click Next. Read the license agreement. 5. Click I accept the terms in the license agreement. 6. Click Next. Ensure that "Save files in folder" is set to c:\swtools\drivers\TPM\Q3TPM07US13. 7. Click Next. 8. Click Finish. Installing the package ====================== 1. Click Start, then click Run. 2. Type c:\swtools\drivers\TPM\Q3TPM07US13\setup.exe, then click OK. 3. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
