Installation README


This package installs an updated version of the IBM RecordNow!
software that comes preinstalled in your IBM system. This update
requires approximately 220MB of space on your hard disk (drive C).

This package is intended for the following IBM systems:

Print this file so that you can refer to it during the installation.


Downloading the update
----------------------
1. Click the file link to download the file from the Web page.
2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save
   the downloaded file.


Installing the update
---------------------
1.  Click Start, select Find or Search, then click Files or Folders.
2.  Type b91z82usa.exe in the search field, then click Find Now.
    This will locate the file you just downloaded.
3.  Double-click the b91z82usa.exe icon.
4.  Click Next. Read the license agreement.
5.  Click I accept the terms in the license agreement.
6.  Click Next.
7.  Ensure that "Save files in folder" is set to
    C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\B91Z82US.
8.  Click Next. The necessary files will be extracted to your hard
    disk drive.
9.  Click Finish.
10. Click Start, then click Run.
11. Type C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\B91Z82US\Setup.exe, then click OK.
    The setup program will run. Follow all onscreen prompts and
    reboot your system when done.


Application Notes
-----------------
- This update will only unpack if IBM CD recording hardware is
  detected.
- This version of RecordNow supports Windows 98SE, Windows 2000,
  and Windows XP.
- This update corrects an issue where copies of DVDs with more than
  2GB could fail with no error message.
- This update corrects an issue with the Driver Verifier test in
  Microsoft HCT 12 when used under Windows XP Service Pack 2
- This update provides ultra-speed write capability for drives that
  only support 10X or lower writing to ultra-speed media.
